A short and sweet NOtivation for you... with a couple things happening now we wanted to share (see below.) In the last few weeks on Twitter, there has been a "trending" hashtag: #shareyourrejection or #shareyourrejections depending on which one you want to follow. Some rather funny ones stood out to us...
Author Karen M. McManus tweeted: "120+ query rejections on my first two (shelved) books. I sent my first query for One of Us Is Lying to my dream agent, and she signed me & sold it a couple of months later. Then I got another query rejection after it hit the NYT bestseller list."
Filmmaker @SadeSellers tweeted: "A guy I went on a few dates with stopped seeing me so he could focus on his “career.” Five years later he was auditioning for one of my films.
Director of Baby Driver, @edgarwright tweeted: "I was passed over for a TV commercial that was to be done in the
style of ‘Spaced’, even though I was the actual director of ‘Spaced.' If you are on Twitter (Andrea is @Goforno) you can read the thousands more there but the key is, when you are passionate and
invested in succeeding, stay on the path. Rejection gives direction!
