Are you Loved & Hated? Good.

You would think Tiger Woods couldn't do anything else to damage his already damaged reputation. But you'd be wrong.  Tiger Woods was recently seen attending a Nickleback concert near his Orlando home.

In case you don't follow the music scene, Nickelback - a band that has sold more than 30 million records - is considered one of the "LEAST popular, MOST popular" bands in history.  The people who love them, LOVE them... and the people who hate them HATE them.  In other words, Nickelback is the perfect band for the times.

Because what Nickleback knows (whether they planned it or not) is that the greatest way to mediocrity in this world is to try to be everything to everyone.  To walk the middle ground.  To be 'vanilla' when, as marketing guru Seth Godin says, the world is a collection of small groups looking for chocolate-jalapeño-pecan in a Baskin-Robbins world of 31 glorious flavors.  In other words, if you try to please everyone, you'll end up pleasing no one... including yourself.
