A System for Using Rejection to Get Results   by Andrea Waltz
There’s a certain kind of person who lights up when they hear the word system. Is that you? Because systems (repeatable processes) are the way to results!   It's how we try to approach getting NOs in the Go for No! 21-Day Challenge. And the best part is
anyone can do this. 5 simple steps to turn rejection into a system:  1. Decide what you really want. Vague goals get vague results. Are you trying to land a dream client? Launch a new offer? Book 10 sales calls this month? Success loves a clear target. Before you can get rejected on something, you need to know exactly what that "something" is. Set a goal! 2. Reverse-engineer the rejections. Most people only track how many Yeses they want. But if 1 in 10 people says yes, then guess what? You need 9 rejections to get one win. And maybe a couple more just to be safe. If your goal is 5 Yeses… then you're really chasing 45 Nos. It's just math. 3. Set a No Goal. Now we gamify it. Set a "No Goal" based on step #2. Decide how many Nos you’re going to intentionally go get this week. 10? 20? 50? Break it down for each
day. Instead of being discouraged by rejection, you’re now collecting them. Celebrate if you hit the goal. 4. Go get NOs! Now comes the bold part: act. Reach out. Ask. Pitch. Present. Meet. Apply. Call. Message.
Offer. Don’t wait until you're ready. Don’t wait until it's perfect. Rejection collected through courageous action is the fastest path to learning, growth, and opportunity. 5. Learn, adapt, and repeat. Every No has a lesson if you’re willing to
look. What can you tweak in your approach? Your timing? Your messaging? Your mindset? Talk to the right person? This isn’t just about being persistent it's doing it smart. Persistence + feedback = productive failure. When you have a system, rejection isn’t chaos,
it's progress you can track. (Btw, the last Go for No 21-Day Challenge of 2025 will be starting in early October, details soon!)
